The College of Arts and Sciences offer a wide range of courses, majors and minors including the natural sciences, the humanities, mathematics, the fine arts and the social sciences, as well as professional programs in actuarial science, clinical laboratory
science, studio art and interior design. The School offers a distinctive combined major in psychology and sociology, a strong and growing array of courses in women's studies, and established "graduate bridge" programs leading to master's degrees in social work and elementary education. More than 600 students pursue undergraduate majors in the College of Arts and Sciences.

 



The mission of the College of Arts and Sciences is to support the general and specialized core curricular needs of the University at large as well as to field a select number of academic majors and professional programs in its own right. The School bears the primary responsibility for developing in students a reasoned sense of personal and professional responsibility and an abiding curiosity about our world and our place in it.
